In what way would you like to be connected to the life, ministry, and mission of River of Hope?
A: If you want to be a voting member in this congregation only, you may be brought into voting membership through Affirmation of Faith giving you voting rights and privileges in all matters of this congregation. This assumes you were baptized in another Lutheran congregation, OR any other Christian congregation (Methodist, Presbyterian, Roman Catholic, Episcopalian, non-denominational, etc.). This may include part-time residents in the community that desire to have voting rights in only this congregation.
B: If you want to be a voting member in this congregation AND in another congregation (Lutheran or otherwise) where you reside part of the year, you may become a “seasonal” voting member. This means you participate in the life and mission of River of Hope. Such seasonal members shall have all the privileges and duties of voting members with the exception of being elected to church council or serving on a call committee. Seasonal voting members may vote in this congregation as long as they have not exercised their voting rights in another congregation within two calendar months.
C: If you are a member of another congregation and want to retain sole voting rights in that congregation, you may become an “Associate” of River of Hope. This means you participate in the life and mission of this congregation but do not have voting rights and privileges ascribed to voting members. You do always have voice welcomed in all matters of this congregation.
THANK YOU FOR BEING PART OF THE EXCITING ADVENTURE OF SHAPING A CHURCH!
